Between 1989 and 1997 Mr. Johnson served as President and CEO of Escalon Medical Corp. (formerly known as Intelligent Surgical Lasers, Inc.) and its predecessor Escalon Ophthamics, Inc., a pharmaceutical and medical device company, which he grew through internal product development, licensing, mergers and acquisitions.

From 1984 to 1989, he served as Vice President, Business Development of The Liposome Company. Before joining Liposome, Mr. Johnson had various operational positions over a twenty year career with Eli Lilly and Company, including its Elanco Products Company and Lilly International.

Mr. Johnson’s experience includes negotiating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and collaborative license agreements in the fields of pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, medical devices, animal health and agricultural chemicals. Mr. Johnson holds a B.Sc. in Agribusiness from Fresno State University.
